What Aftercurrent collects
- Account identity and authentication data for the app.
- Dream entries, saved analyses, journal metadata, and identity inputs you choose to store.
- Birth details you choose to provide for Chronotype and identity features.
- Website launch-access submissions for availability updates only.
- Separate quiz, content, and report-interest opt-ins only after explicit website consent.
Website consent paths
Aftercurrent only uses separate email lists for the purpose you chose.
- Launch access: used only for Aftercurrent launch and install availability.
- Quiz / content / report opt-ins: used for result delivery, related learning content, report availability, and closely related Aftercurrent website updates.
- These consent paths are stored separately and are not silently merged.
Health and device data
Aftercurrent can request access to selected Apple Health and Apple Watch data such as sleep, heart rate variability, resting heart rate, and motion context. Raw Apple Health samples stay on-device. Aftercurrent uses derived scores, summaries, and other context instead of storing raw health streams on the site.
AI-written features
Aftercurrent only uses cloud AI after explicit consent in the app for written features such as Dream Analysis or narrative guidance. The website does not claim that web-based narrative generation is live. Archetype and Disposition are not generated by AI.
Retention and deletion
- Launch-access records are retained for availability messaging unless deleted.
- Quiz/content/report interest records are retained for the consented stream unless deleted.
- Account content remains tied to the app account while the account is active.
